TouristDividend.org is an independent policy advocacy website. We research, model, and advocate for the implementation of Tourist Dividend programs in tourism-dependent American communities. We are not a government agency, a political party, a registered lobbying organization, or a nonprofit corporation. We are private individuals publishing research and advocacy materials.
We make every effort to publish accurate, sourced information. Tourism spending figures are drawn from official state and county tourism economic impact reports where available, and from publicly available estimates otherwise. Our financial modeling is transparent — the formula is published, the data sources are cited, and estimates are labeled as such.
However, we make no warranties about the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information on this site. Tourism data changes. Legal frameworks evolve. Political circumstances shift. Do not rely solely on this site for legal, financial, or political decision-making without consulting appropriate professionals.
The Tourist Dividend Calculator is an illustrative tool. It is designed to show the approximate scale of potential dividends under different tax rates and household sizes. The calculations are based on the formula: (Tourism Spending × Rate × 0.97) ÷ Population. This is a simplified model. Actual dividends, if any program were implemented, would depend on the specific ordinance, collection mechanisms, eligible population definition, and actual tourism revenue in any given year.
The calculator does not constitute a promise, projection, or guarantee of any actual payment. No Tourist Dividend program currently exists in any of the 26 communities listed.
